Below are some common questions about our Lenz rcB Lithium Packs.
Which battery pack should I choose?
We recommend the Lithium Pack rcB 1400 for the Heat Socks.
For Heat Gloves, Vests, Jackets, and Pants, we recommend the Lithium Pack rcB 2000, which has a higher capacity to support garments that require more power.
Both battery packs are compatible with all Lenz heat products — the difference is run time and power capacity.
How long do the batteries last?
The Lithium Packs provide up to 22 hours of heat, depending on the heat level selected and conditions.
To learn more about battery run times, read the Safety precautions & instructions for use manual.
How should I store my batteries?
The Lenz charging cradle includes a storage mode designed to keep battery packs in optimal condition when they’re not being used for extended periods.
For best battery care:
- Store batteries half-charged using storage mode
- Keep them in a cool, dry place
- Ensure batteries are turned off and disconnected from the heated product
- Always store batteries with the contact protectors attached
For long-term storage, it’s recommended to discharge and storage-charge the batteries once every 6 months to maintain performance and battery life.

Heated Socks
Below are common questions about Lenz Heated Socks.
Frequently asked question
Lenz Heated Socks feature an integrated heating system that specifically warms the toe area. A flat Toe Cap® heating element is embedded directly into the fabric, heating the toes evenly from top and bottom.
For operation, a battery is attached externally to the shaft. The heat levels can be controlled manually or via the free Lenz Heat App.
Are Lenz Heated Socks worth the price?
Ask anyone you know who owns a pair — the answer is always yes. Lenz Heated Socks are a premium investment, but when you consider what's at stake — a ski holiday that costs thousands of dollars — warm, comfortable feet all day means you're not cutting runs short, heading inside early, or missing out on any part of the experience you paid for.
Can you feel the heating element inside the sock?
The heating element is a thin fabric element woven discreetly into the sock, so most wearers forget it's there. The Merino SoftTec® construction keeps the sock feeling natural and comfortable against the skin, even inside tight-fitting ski boots. If you're particularly sensitive to fit, we'd recommend the compression sock version for the most streamlined feel.
Can you wash the heated socks?
Yes — but always remove the battery packs before washing. The socks can be machine washed on a gentle, low setting at 30°C using the included laundry bag. Once washed, air dry only at room temperature — never tumble dry or place on a heater or heated surface.
What battery packs are compatible with Lenz Heated Socks?
Lenz Heated Socks are compatible with all Lenz Body Heat System lithium battery packs — the rcB 1200, rcB 1400, rcB 1800, and rcB 2000. Each battery pack will differ in run-times, which can be found in the Safety precautions & instructions for use manual.
The same battery packs work across all Lenz heated products including gloves and vests, however, you'll need a separate pack for each heated product you're wearing at the same time.
How long do the heated socks keep feet warm?
Depending on the heat setting and battery model used, Lenz Heated Socks deliver between 3.5 and 23 hours of warmth.
For a full breakdown of run-times, refer to the Safety precautions & instructions for use manual.
Are Heated Socks suitable for everyday use?
Yes – thanks to the padding and flexible fit, heated socks in regular fit are also suitable for longer walks, commuting, or leisure activities. The socks are suitable for both sport and casual use. They fit into regular winter boots or sneakers. For people with cold feet in daily life, they are a comfortable solution.
Are Lenz Heated Socks suitable for people with Raynaud's or poor circulation?
Yes — Lenz Heated Socks are particularly popular with skiers and snowboarders who suffer from Raynaud's phenomenon or chronic cold feet. The consistent, adjustable heat keeps circulation-sensitive feet warm across a full day in cold conditions.

The lithium battery pack connects directly to the heat pads via press studs, delivering reliable, consistent heat wherever you place them.
How do I wash the vest?
Yes — simply remove the heat pads and battery pack before washing. The vest can be machine washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Avoid fabric softener and do not tumble dry. Air dry only — the material remains shape-stable and fully functional even after repeated washes.

Attiba Après Boots
Below are some commonly asked questions about our Attiba Après Boots.
What makes Attiba boots different from other winter boots?
Attiba boots are designed and made in Italy for icy alpine environments. Many styles feature the OC System® Rotor sole, with a built-in retractable spike that provides extra grip when walking on ice — a key difference from standard winter boots.
How do the OC System® spikes work?
The OC System® features retractable spikes built directly into the sole of the boot. Each pair comes with a dedicated key that allows you to easily flip the spike system between two positions — spikes retracted for normal walking surfaces, and spikes deployed for walking on snow or ice. It takes just seconds to switch, making it ideal for alpine villages and resort environments where conditions can change quickly throughout the day.
How warm are Attiba boots?
All Attiba boots are rated to –30°C and built for serious cold. With insulated linings and weather-resistant materials, they’re designed for all-day winter wear in snow towns, après-ski settings and cold urban environments.
Do they fit true to size?
Yes. Attiba boots generally fit true to European sizing. If you’re between sizes or plan to wear thicker winter socks, we recommend sizing up.

Starling Hats
Below are commonly asked questions about our beautiful Starling Hats.
What makes Starling Hats different from other snow beanies?
Starling Hats are a Polish family-owned brand with over 40 years of alpine heritage. Each hat is hand-finished in their mountain workshop using premium Italian yarns — including merino wool — giving them a level of craftsmanship and warmth that mass-produced winter beanies simply can't offer.
How warm are Starling Hats?
Starling Hats are made from natural fibres including merino wool, which are renowned for their superior warmth-to-weight ratio. Unlike synthetic beanies, natural fibres actively regulate temperature — keeping you warm on the chairlift and comfortable during après without overheating.
Can the pompom be removed?
Yes — the pompoms on Starling Hats are removable, giving you two distinct looks in one hat. Keep it on for a classic, dressed-up alpine aesthetic, or remove it for a cleaner, more understated style. It's a small detail that makes a big difference when you're packing for a snow holiday and want versatility without the extra luggage.
